The old Mac workstation If you haven't yet figured out what my preferred GUI is, you probably weren't terribly good at interpreting symbolism in Hemmingway's the Old Man and the Sea either.

I know Windows won the battle for the desktop and that computers are simply tools to do get a job done. Using a Mac just makes doing the job a little more efficient and enjoyable, and it lets me get my work done with far fewer dramas - something I can't say with a straight face about the other alternative(s).

My favourite "trilogy" - Douglas Adams' "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" - was written on a Mac.
